This role is accountable for end-to-end completion of security access requests including:

  • This position will support users and disengagement efforts using RACF. The primary responsibility will be provisioning and de-provisioning access. The candidate will have a demonstrated proficiency in using RACF ensuring the installation for access controls are implemented are working correctly and that logical mainframe and distributed access controls are in place to protect and limit users' access to only what is needed to perform their job. The incumbent will understand profiles as well as all the intricacies of RACF and other logical access controls.
  • The incumbent will coordinate the system access request and approval process for obtaining accesses to Diversified, First Coast and Novitas as well as CMS hosted systems applications. This includes maintaining documentation on employees who requires access, ensuring all employees maintain and certify their accesses and have the appropriate business justification on file.
  • Entering request information
  • Ensuring timely management approval of requests
  • Completion of the technical tasks necessary to enable the requested access
  • Follow-up with other IT areas to ensure timely completion of tasks assigned to them
  • Problem solving, resolution and escalation of issues as needed
  • Maintenance of security-related role templates and the Security Knowledge Base
  • Quality assurance and monitoring activities as assigned
  • Customer focus, completing requests in a timely manner and providing necessary support to customer
  • The Computer Security Tech Specialist is subject to practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policy
  • Timely problem resolution, including unusual issues, is a deliverable of this position
  • Highly effective customer service skills are paramount for this position.
  • The Computer Security Tech Specialist must work independently in business areas, without daily supervision, while meeting daily goals.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, etc. or equivalent work experience
